• Students will be introduced to the theory, application and execution of creative ideas communicated in mass. Students will be taught to act creatively, think critically about brands and products, assess business needs, and brainstorm creative concepts..
  • These courses focus on the art and science of designing buildings, structures, and space, associating the surrounding environment and knowledge into the process, such as feasibility, resources, and materials, while maintaining the aesthetics. Students work within the spectrum of furniture, furinishings, interiors, buildings, landscapes, and urbanism to design environments for conceptual and practical application.
  • Students will learn the process of standard figure and life drawing, proportions, values, and perspectives in working toward design and production. Themes, colors, fabrics, histories, and contemporary events will all be explored in concepting and ultimately designing a clothing line.
  • With aesthetics and storytelling, students will conceive themes and fashion designs to articulate through imagery in a variety of mediums.
  • Students will develop a creative understanding of the form as well as focus on core fundamentals of drawing a human figure. Classes draw from life, analyzing the form, incorporating movement and gesture, utilizing anatomical proportions, and stylizing exaggerations. Students develop an understanding of the anatomy of the body through careful study. In drawing the human form, students gain experience in observation, line quality, volume, and design.
  • Film will focus on screenwriting, synopsis, storyboarding, theory, and history, filming on mini-DV to HD, and articulating narrative on film. Students will focus on developing a short reel ranging from projects such as a music video, cinematography, short film, and commercial.
  • Fine art develops the artist’s ability to express his or her ideas, opinions, and emotions, incorporating socioeconomics, political events, espoused philosophies, and personal experiences. Students will develop technical skills with acrylic, watercolor, oil, and structural mediums.
  • Fundamentals are crucial to any artist's and designer's growth into a professional. This class will begin from the ground up, focusing on the basics, ultimately building to advanced techniques encompassing, perspective, proportions, lines, value, light & shadows, form & space, pattern, color theory, etc.
  • Students will learn conceptual thinking, interpretation, application, use of lines, forms, and colors, and narrative through visual representations in drawing and painting.
  • Students will create images, develop the creative process, and explore different styles and techniques used in commercial, fashion, documentary, and fine art genres.
  • The portfolio is essential to admission into college programs, and should exemplify a gamut of aspects, from fundamentals, to concept, to narrative, to personal interests. Likened to a college studio class, instructors will oversee the development of overall pieces from fine art to illustration and guide students in developing a consummate portfolio of work.
  • Encompassing the fundamentals of shape and form to function and innovation, products will be concepted and designed through research and consumer needs, ultimately developing products for retail and use.
  • Students obtain technical and creative skills with transportation vehicle design, creating design components that are aesthetically pleasing, and considering materials for comfort, safety, and sustainability. Students will learn innovation, brand identity, and environmental impact of design.
